Air Handler is hung or set with a slight tilt in both directions toward the main drain opening 4.) Air Handler cabinet is properly sealed {drained pan openings, filter door, grommets on copper}. 5.) Air Handler Piston Size is noted below* 6.) The condenser is installed level with a minimum clearance of 36" on the service side, 12" of clearance around the coil and not set in front of an electrical device or window 7.) System pressure checked to 100lbs. {R-22} or 200lbs. {Puron} for 1 hour 8.) System Evacuated for 30 mins {R-22} or for 1 hour {Puron} 9) Line set & air handler pre-charged with R-22 gas or Puron Liquid tp 100 lbs. psig. 10.) Condenser valves oiled, then opened and service valve caps tightened 1/6th turn. 11.) Refrigerant pipe chase or line cover foamed. 12.) Exterior armaflex painted with UV protecting paint. 13.) Electric Heated label installed on Air Handler label and written on AH's breaker door. 14.) The condenser is fastened down to its pad with approved angles & #14 screws every 12" *Air Handler Piston Size: Thermostat 1.) The thermostat is leveled and the Red wire is left of the "R" terminal 2.) Hold in the wall 3.) Homeowners Manual put in Job Folder. Condensate Drains 1.) PVC threaded plugs are installed in all unused drain openings. 2.) Main drain is run 12" away from the building. 3.) Long drain runs {over 20'} are trapped at the AH and the vent after the trap is higher than pan. 4.) Emergency drain pan is tilted in both directions toward the drain opening and secured. 5.) Emergency drain pan has the fitting tightened and gutter-sealed and corners & screws are sealed 6.) Float switch installed close to the pan drain fitting, adjusted to a 15 degree angle towards the float and screwed at the very top edge of the pan. 7.) Emergency drain is trimmed off at 2" below the soffit or elbowed down at the gable end. 8.) Note P-trap location at the Air Handler below* *P-trap is located at the Air Handler: Condenser Air Handler Under Slab Grilles 1.) All grilles are installed square with walls or crown molding, wiped clean and louvers adjusted. 2.) Return grilles have weather stripping on the inside flange that filters goes up against. 3.) Return grilles open easily and have filters installed. Paperwork 1.) "Proudly Installed By:" label installed on all equipment. 2.) "Notice To Homeowner" installed on the inside door of electric panel {if AH is located in attic}. 3.) Wiring diagrams are left in the Air Handler. 4.)All the paperwork that came with the equipment, any material list is given, this Trim-out list, the thermostat manual and the Job Folder cover sheet are filled out and ready to turn in.
